Independence Day Schedule of Events
June 27, 2025
July 4th festivities are scheduled for Bradenton and Palmetto, beginning Friday at 5 p.m. Bradenton’s celebration does not require road closures; however, the Green Bridge will be closed during the fireworks show, which is anticipated to begin at approximately 9 p.m.
The Green Bridge will be closed to vehicles at 8:30 p.m.
The bridge pedestrian walkway will close at 8:45 p.m.
Fireworks launch from the Green Bridge fishing pier. Boaters cannot travel under the Green Bridge during the fireworks display.
The bridge will reopen as soon as any debris from the fireworks is cleared.
Parking information (Bradenton)
Free parking is available in the downtown parking garages, Riverwalk lots, and the parking lot across from Manatee Players Theatre. Parking maps are here.
The Rossi Park lot will be closed.
Handicap parking will be available in the parking lot across the street from Manatee Performing Arts Center at 502 3rd Ave West. A valid handicap parking tag is required.

Palmetto Free Public Parking:
First Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, city lots, and street parking in the Historic District
Handicap parking will be available behind It Works, 908 Riverside Drive, with access from 9th Ave West and 4th Street West. A valid handicap parking tag is required for entry.
Trolley Service in Palmetto:
Two free trolleys will run throughout historic Palmetto from 5–10 p.m., with pick-up and drop-off at Riverside Drive and 10th Avenue West.
Palmetto Road Closures:
Riverside Park Boat Ramp and Riverside Park West will be closed from midnight on Friday, July 4, to midnight on Saturday, July 5.
Riverside Drive (U.S. 41 to 10th Ave W) will be closed from 8 a.m. on Friday, July 4, to noon on Saturday, July 5.
