UPDATE: 4 charged in connection with 10th Ave. W. shooting

Four men have been charged in connection with a shooting in the 100 block of 10th Avenue W. on Monday, January 23, 2023. Additional charges, and/or arrests, may be forthcoming.
Jerome Williams, 20, attempted murder while engaged in a felony offense, fleeing/eluding a law enforcement officer.
Tyreak Allen, 20, attempted murder while engaged in a felony offense, obstruction.
Shamar Mobley, 20, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana (over 20 grams). Mobley was also wanted on a narcotic-related warrant.
Kobe Brooks, 19, obstruction.
It is believed that at approximately 5 p.m. Monday the suspects approached a home on 10th Avenue W. and encountered the victims. At least 50 rounds were fired, resulting in three men at the home suffering gunshot wounds. Two victims remain hospitalized, one in critical condition.
Following the shooting, several people fled from the scene. Bradenton Police officers recovered one of the vehicles spotted shortly after the shooting, after it crashed near the intersection of 13th Avenue W. and 1st Street/US-301. The driver and passengers ran from officers but were detained following a search that included the use of a Bradenton Police K9 team, and assistance from the Manatee Sheriff’s Office and Sarasota Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit.
Search warrants have resulted in the seizure of six weapons, at least two of which were reported stolen out of Manatee County.
