De Soto Grand Parade road closures

The De Soto Grand Parade is Saturday, April 29. More than 100,000 spectators attend the parade annually, and you should arrive early.

Roads will close beginning at 5 p.m. The parade begins at 7 p.m. Roads will reopen after pedestrian traffic is clear and the streets are clean.

Road closures are as follows:

• The Green Bridge will be closed in both directions. The De Soto Bridge will remain open for drivers traveling between Bradenton and Palmetto.

• Manatee Avenue W. between 1st Street W. and 43rd Street W.

• 39th Street W. between 9th Avenue W. and Manatee Avenue.

• 9th Avenue W. between 30th Street W. and 39th Street W.
